Our Farm

Fairytale Acres

To add beauty to our shop, and home-grown freshness to our menu, Carla grows an abundance of blooms and vegetables in our gardens. With a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and years of experience as a horticulture educator, she is a passionate about sustainable growing practices and mindful post-harvest handling. Like our lunch offerings, our flowers are ultra-fresh and have an affordable price point.

The flowers are available as $15 bouquets, with colors and cultivars in harmony with the seasons. Bunches of specialty tulips are available during April and May. After a late spring lull, perennial varieties like peony and lupine arrive. They are combined with airy filler flowers and fresh greenery in light, seasonal tones. As the weather warms, annual varieties like Zinnia and sunflowers transition into bouquets with their bold glory. The season goes on until early October, when frost takes down the Dahlias and the rest of the fall beauties. Throughout the growing season, flowers are dried for arranging during the colder months.

During the summer and early fall, cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes are pulled from right from the vine for our salad bar, focaccias, and sandwiches. Even in the winter, our garlic and herbs make their way into our soups and sauces.
